Helping children to know God

Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

Our Children's Ministry is designed for all children to explore and discover the depth of God's love for them and help them understand that they are created for a special purpose in life. Join us upstairs where we offer classes for children from the time they are walking until they complete the 5th grade.

Nursery
We are happy to provide a separate quieter area downstairs for new mothers with a private nursery equipped with changing table and supplies, rocking chairs and lots of toys. A large TV screen is also available with a live channel from our worship service. The nursery is available for mothers and their infants until walking.

Sunday Classes
Sunday morning is the perfect time for the Bible to come alive! Where children will discover the love of God and His son Jesus through story telling, hands-on activities, multimedia presentations, memorization and repetition. Preschool through 5th Grade classes are available.

Cradle Roll
Offered during both Bible Class and Worship assemblies on Sunday, children participate in activities including playful worship songs and playtime rolled into Bible story telling. Available for toddlers to age two.

Wednesday Evening Classes
Join us for the Simple Supper Hour served from 6:00-6:45pm followed with Bible class where our children gather and learn about Jesus and experience God through Bible stories, hands-on activities and object lessons that demonstrate Biblical principles. Classes are available for ages 3 through 5th Grade.

Children's worship
Children's worship is a time where we teach children to worship God, listen to Bible stories, and make crafts. We want to show each child how to connect his or her life with Jesus and develop gifts such as imagination, trust, and faith.

Children's worship is held during the sermon portion of our Sunday morning worship service from 11:00-11:45. Available to children ages 3 years old - 1st grade.

Our mission
Our mission is to teach children to develop a relationship with God by teaching them about who he is and learning about the role he plays in their lives; helping them build healthy Christ-like relationships with family, church, community, and each other.

Child Protection & Procedures

The Pennsylvania House Bill 1276, Act 153 of 2014, requires additional and periodic background checks for both employees and volunteers who are directly involved with children.

Under the new law:
Volunteers must obtain the clearances if they have direct volunteer contact, meaning that they have care, supervision, guidance or control AND routine interaction with children. This is the standard that will apply to determining whether an adult volunteer must get the background checks.

The child abuse criminal history clearances can be located and completed online at the websites below:

  1. STEP 1:  Complete the Criminal History Background Check and print the certificate at:  PA State Police Central Repository
  2. STEP 2:  Complete and submit the Child Abuse Clearance at:  PA Child Abuse History Clearance - Compass. The certificate will be mailed to you after the form is submitted. The two $10 fees are waived for volunteers and are reduced to $8 each for employees. Under the new law, though, the volunteer clearances cannot be used for employment.
  3. STEP 3:  If you have lived in Pennsylvania for 10 or more years, complete a signed statement saying "I have lived in Pennsylvania for 10 or more years, and I have not been convicted of a felony or sex crime."  If you have not been a resident, please obtain your FBI Clearance and fingerprints at  www.pa.cogentid.com  Keep your receipt and you will be reimbursed for the FBI Clearance.
  4. STEP 4: Submit a copy of all three clearances to the church office or directly to Dawn Bower ASAP at dawnbower@comcast.net

New prospective employees or volunteers must obtain them before starting employment. or your volunteer position.

Youth

Youth

The Youth Group is where we grow in respect for each other and God as we build eternal friendships.

Our Youth Group is for teens from 7th to 12th grades. Activities are held throughout the year with the goal of promoting the spiritual growth of each and every teen. Thought provoking bible classes are held in the teen room Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Teens are provided opportunities to serve, pray, and just have fun together in a safe setting. Deacons and Elders are involved in teen class teaching, mentoring, and youth program guidance. A team of parents, teens, and young adults meets to plan upcoming events and chaperone outings.

FUEL (fellowship, understanding and encouragement for life) is our men's ministry.

We all need time together to re-fuel and to live out God's purpose for our lives. As a group of men we want to encourage one another toward this goal.

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17

Don't burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master... Romans 12:11

Goals:

  • Help men network and connect
  • Provide opportunities to serve
  • Increase men's spiritual walk
  • Grow in the Word and faith
  • Support family relations

Events and Activities
Our activities are designed to provide men with the tools necessary to become better equipped leaders in the home, community, and church.

Manly Morning is a hearty breakfast, fellowship and prayer time. It's a powerful time to bond, encourage and challenge one another. Saturday every six weeks from 8:00-10:00 AM.

Service projects are held throughout the year. We want to be men who share the heart of Jesus for those in need. Numerous opportunities for service including helping people move, home repair and disaster relief.

Women

Women

The ladies at King of Prussia are women of faith and love in action.

This is evident by their desire to know God's Word, to care for their families, the church family, and those in the community.

Our ladies participate in a variety of activities throughout the year from Wednesday morning Bible studies, the summer Wednesday evening Bible class, bi-monthly prayer breakfasts, and the annual Fall Ladies' Retreat to name a few.

Our women's ministry provides opportunities for women to grow spiritually through serving, supporting, comforting, nurturing, learning and mentoring. Our mission is to encourage women to become students of God's word, applying biblical truth to daily decisions in marriage, parenting, and life circumstances.

Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:10, 30 NASB
