Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

Our Children's Ministry is designed for all children to explore and discover the depth of God's love for them and help them understand that they are created for a special purpose in life. Join us upstairs where we offer classes for children from the time they are walking until they complete the 5th grade.

Nursery
We are happy to provide a separate quieter area downstairs for new mothers with a private nursery equipped with changing tables and supplies, rocking chairs, and many toys. A large TV screen is also available with a live channel from our worship service. The nursery is available for mothers and their infants until walking.

Sunday Classes
Sunday morning is the perfect time for the Bible to come alive! Where children will discover the love of God and His son Jesus through storytelling, hands-on activities, multimedia presentations, memorization, and repetition. Preschool through 5th Grade classes are available.

Cradle Roll
Offered during Bible Class on Sunday, children participate in activities including playful worship songs and playtime rolled into Bible storytelling. Available for toddlers to age two.

Wednesday Evening Classes
Join us for the Simple Supper served from 6:00-6:45 pm, followed by Bible class where our children gather to learn about Jesus and experience God through Bible stories, hands-on activities, and object lessons that demonstrate Biblical principles. Classes are available for ages 5 through 5th Grade.

Our mission
Our mission is to teach children to develop a relationship with God by teaching them about who he is and learning about the role he plays in their lives; helping them build healthy Christ-like relationships with family, church, community, and each other.

Child Protection & Procedures

The Pennsylvania House Bill 1276, Act 153 of 2014, requires additional and periodic background checks for both employees and volunteers who are directly involved with children.

Under the new law:
Volunteers must obtain the clearances if they have direct volunteer contact, meaning that they have care, supervision, guidance or control AND routine interaction with children. This is the standard that will apply to determining whether an adult volunteer must get background checks. New prospective employees or volunteers must obtain them before starting employment. or your volunteer position.

The child abuse criminal history clearances can be located and completed online at the websites below:

  1. STEP 1: Complete the Criminal History Background Check and print the certificate at: Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History - Home (pa.gov)

  2. STEP 2: Complete and submit the Child Abuse History Clearance at: PA Child Abuse History Clearance - Compass. The certificate will be mailed to you after the form is submitted. The two $10 fees are waived for volunteers and are reduced to $8 each for employees. Under the new law, though, the volunteer clearances cannot be used for employment.

  3. STEP 3: Complete the FBI Background Check. If you have lived in Pennsylvania for 10 or more years, complete a signed statement saying "I have lived in Pennsylvania for 10 or more years, and I have not been convicted of a felony or sex crime." If you have not been a resident, please obtain your FBI Clearance and fingerprints at www.pa.cogentid.com Keep your receipt and you will be reimbursed for the FBI Clearance.

  4. STEP 4: Submit a copy of all three clearances to the church office or directly to Dawn Bower ASAP at dawnbower@comcast.net
